Definitely considered one of the highlights at both the Barrio Fiesta Milton Keynes and the Church Street Festival, Chelo entertains the crowd with her self-written song 'Break It'. It is only a sample of what this songstress can do, having written all her songs and choreographed all her performances, Chelo is born to grace our screens. Her natural way of pleasing the crowds with her voice gymnastics, killer moves and a figure to die for, everyone who has ever watched her on stage knows that entertaining comes naturally and will always promise an explosive show. Chelo has been performing and training since she was six. In 2001, she left Architecture School in LA to pursue performing in the Philippines and released an album under Ivory Records entitled, “Nice to Meet You”. She has quite a long entertainment resume and has tried her hand in everything from singing, acting, dancing, modeling, choreography, songwriting, and playing the guitar. In 2003 she was signed with Universal Records Philippines with the group Flavours and they released a dance compilation album. In 2004, she finished shooting her first movie in Bohol, Philippines called, “Panagho’y Sa Suba” with a well known Filipino actor/director, Cesar Montano. She also song wrote and choreographed for her groups TFL and HAYLO in the past. Her Hip-Hop Dance group, the All-Stars, has just won first place in the National Hip-Hop Championships in the Philippines and the 2006 World Hip-Hop Crew Finals in Italy. Now in the UK, she is working on more solo work with Jask Productions in London. And, she just received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Middlesex University. |
